The Prestige 3PK is available for GPS Light Triangle racing.

Key features of GPS Light model-

  • All fiberglass nose for zero interference with GPS-telemetry devices.
  • Stronger wing that can take up to 900 grams of ballast.
  • Empty flying weight of about 1900 grams .
  • Max ballasted flying weight 2658/2703 (X/V-tail) grams to comply with rules.
  • Spar - 100% strength
  • Center panel used fabric 120g / m2
  • Tips - 58g / m2 plus D box fabric 30g / m2
  • We can supply the model ready for flight with servos and motor
  • LDS servo/surface gear can be supplied from us with plastic IDS or even our own machined aluminium LDS system specifically made for our models to ensure precise and good geometry when flying fast and accurate

The ballast tubes is located in the center panel for GPS versions . Customers can shorten the bars to their needs.

A few words from Philip Kolb, March 2020- Prestige 2PK

Finally my new toy arrived!

I am amazed by the quality delivered by samba-Model.
Huge thanks to Eva, Jaro and Vlastimil for supplying me with this beautiful plane, which I will use (as soon as we are able to compete again) for the new GPS-triangle Lightclass.

At samba-Model they quickly adapted to the new ruleset and implemented all my wishes for changes to be done for Triangle racing.
The PRESTIGE 2PK GPS features an all glassfibre fuselage-nose to allow interference-free usage of all GPS-telemetry devices.
The wing is extra strong and can bear 900gr. of Brass ballast easily. The empty-weight will be around 1900gr. the maximum allowed AUW to comply with the GPS-Triangle rules for the Light class will be 2598gr.
Now lets see and use the time for getting this plane ready to fly. I am really excited to make a "racer" out of an F5J-plane.

Stay healthy, safe and home....and hopefully see you along the flying sites soon again!

Minimum and Maximum AUW for F5J (12g/dm) and GPS-Triangle Lightclass (33g/dm).

02.2026:

Jaroslav Vostřel installs his new GPS Light machine for the upcoming season. PRESTIGE 3PK V tail.

Several improvements in the drive compared to my previous PRESTIGE 2PK PRO. For the drive I used the proven DUALSKY 3045EG-8 engine. To improve aerodynamics I used a CCM 12/6 propeller and a CCM 30/5 cone. It sits very nicely on the fuselage in all positions. Thanks to the slightly larger fuselage cross-section and larger cabin (compared to the 2PK), I was able to use a larger SLS Quantum 3S 2450 mAh battery. This drive provides sufficient energy supply for this year as well, the maximum load is increased to 33g/dm2, which is 2973 g for the PRESTIGE 3PK V tail. I used a YGE65LV as a controller. To increase safety I used a backup 2 x lion 800mAh. I have the BEC set to 8.2 V on the controller, which automatically charges the backup battery. Tested on my Pike Paradigm. (thanks for the advice Philip Kolb) (the backup battery must be charged at the beginning of each season with a charger, a too discharged battery could over-load the weak power cable and connectors in the receiver by charging via the BEC.
Due to the current unavailability of the Eagle 2 PRO unit, I used my backup much larger RAVEN 2.
When the weather is suitable, I will go try it and let you know

Connecting the servos is as quick and easy as the whole mounting of the fuselage. Boom Vtail/Xtail can be exchanged but beware servos have different length and position
